When first seeing this, I thought of a tepee, because of its shape. Is that some wood you used behind the clay, Azhure Azuli, or a different kind of clay with a rougher texture?

You're welcome, Azhure Azuli. So it is a piece of wood!O.O I couldn't really tell, because each monitor is different in resolution, color-output, etc. Your sculpture is quite interesting, by the way.

hm. seems i saw something different then them. but still, it's a great piece. i love your mix of found natural objects and clay. it all looks very nice together, and has the perfect mix of deja vu and something real. what that something is, though, i'm not too sure.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

It's always great to hear what other people see in my work!
As for your question, yep it is wood, a largish driftwood chunk with a double fired clay piece in front.
Cheers,
